This Privacy Policy explains how Gonzi Games (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Gonzi Games website and related features (the “Service”). You can play without an account. If you create one, we store your email, username, a password hash for email sign-in (never the password itself) or your Google account id, favorites, ratings tied to your account, and session tokens. With Google Sign-In we receive your Google user id, verified email, and name. You can change your password, sign out other devices, or permanently delete your account from the account page. Deletion removes your account record and cascaded sessions, ratings, and favorites. Aggregated play counts remain anonymous.
We use personal data to provide and secure the Service; create and manage accounts; remember language and consent choices; count plays without identifying you; show advertising that keeps the Service free; measure site use when you consent; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with law. Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on performance of a contract (accounts and core Service features), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and essential service operation), and consent (non-essential cookies, personalized ads, and Google measurement cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We count plays and approximate unique players with privacy-preserving methods that do not identify you. If you choose “Accept all,” Google Analytics may also help us understand how the Service is used, under Google’s consent controls. If you choose essential cookies only, we do not use Google measurement cookies for that purpose.
The Service is supported by Google AdSense and may show ads on catalog and game pages. Google may use the page you view, your device, and — only after you choose “Accept all” — cookies or similar technologies to help select ads. We do not give advertisers your account email or password. If you choose essential cookies only, ads may still appear in a non-personalized form.
Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers that help us operate the Service, including hosting, content delivery, email delivery for account messages, and Google for Sign-In, AdSense, and — with consent — Analytics. Those providers process data on our instructions or, where the law treats them as independent controllers (for example certain Google advertising and measurement services), under their own terms. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a reorganization of the Service.
Account data is kept while your account remains open and for a limited period afterward as needed for security, backups, and legal claims. Sessions expire and can be revoked. Password-reset and email-verification tokens are short-lived and stored only as hashes. Aggregated play metrics are retained in anonymous form. Cookie lifetimes are described in the Cookie Policy. We delete or anonymize personal data when it is no longer needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law.
We use measures appropriate to the risk, including hashed passwords, hashed session tokens, and salted IP hashes for abuse controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Protect your credentials and sign out on shared devices.
We and our providers may process data in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or rely on a provider’s certified transfer mechanism.
The Service is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the digital consent age in their country without appropriate parental authority. Parents or guardians should supervise use and manage cookie and ad consent for younger users.
